- An Israeli airstrike in Lebanon has killed Hezbollah’s elite commander Wissam al-Tawil, AFP reported. Lebanese sources told AFP the killing of a senior commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force was a “painful” blow for the group. The commander “had a leading role in managing Hezbollah’s operations in the south,” an Israeli security official told AFP. Three people were killed and at least fifteen more were injured following a strike in Gaza's Rafah, eyewitnesses said. Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid called on National Unity minister Benny Gantz to leave the coalition government. During a visit to the northern city of Kiryat Shmona, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said his army is ready to go to war with Hezbollah.
